Farmland selection and purchase time change 1 to 4 weeks depending on the positive feedback from all required suitability items and investors’ speed of transaction.
- Generating the survey plan/map
- Marking the borders with wooden sticks
- Obtaining the permission from forest ministry and clean the farmland from wild bushes and trees
- Organizing the slope and soil of the farmland with heavy machinery
- Making the water drilling, or connection from the government water channel
- Bringing the electricity to the farmland and making underground cablings
- Constructing water storage/pool
- Installing liquid fertilizer tank and filtration system
- Installing pressure holding drip irrigation system
- Fencing surrounding the farmland and security fence for the pool
Farmland preparation time changes from 2 to 4 months depending on the size, shape, slope, distances from the utility infrastructures of the farmland, and weather conditions.
- Initial fertilizing and increasing the quality of the soil
- GPS marking the plantation points of each tree
- Digging the plantation holes
- Applying for root protection medicine to each hole
- Planting optimum amount of trees (depends on the tree type)
Plantation of the trees can be done only after the readiness of the farmland.
Plantation of the trees can not be done any time of the year, every tree type and location has different specific plantation months. It is usually the end of fall, beginning of the winter.
- Upgrading the title deed status from "plain land" to "planted a garden"
- Receiving the power of attorney (POA) from the investor
- Applying for title deed transfer
- Collecting approvals from the ministry of agriculture, title deed office, and municipality and obtaining the transferred title deed
According to the land protection law of the Turkish Republic, foreign individuals can have only planted garden or greenhouse status farmland title deeds under their name. In this respect, the farmland project must be planted and its title deed status must be upgraded before the legal application of transferring the ownership. These legal steps require 4 to 6 weeks.
